Boyle's Law states that at a constant temperature; pressure and volume directly vary. "Shrink Wrap" is an example of Boyle's law. This is true because the pressure and volume change. The temp. and the # of moles stay constant. I know that the pressure changed because the bag shrunk into the person. I know that the volume changed because the bag got rapidly smaller.
Gay Lusaac's law states that at a constant volume; pressure and temperature relate directly. The station where the thermometer is in the bottle and it is pumped with an air pump; is an example of Gay Lusaac's Law. This is true because the pressure and the temperature change. Also the # of moles and volume stay the same. I know that the pressure changed because we pumped a lot of air into the bottle. I know that the temperature changed because the thermometer changed.
Charle's Law states that at a constant pressure; volume and temperature relate diretly. The station with the heating can is an example of Charles's Law. This is true because the volume and temperature change. The pressure and # of moles stay constant. I know that the volume changes because when the can is put in the cool water the can implodes. I know that the temperature changes because the can goes from being heated up to being cooled down in cold water.
